My 06 Chevy Uplander is EXTREMELY hot in the summer months & I have to do everything really early or really late...when the sun is not up. If I have to go out during the day, I have to park in the shade & put sun visors up in all the windows & the car is still unbearable.
The problem is that there are no rear air vents & with the front air vents trying to cool the entire van, even the people in the front are hot. My poor children are dripping in sweat & have bright red faces even on long road trips where the AC has been running for a long time.
I've had the AC looked at & they can't find anything wrong w/ it.
Is there anything I can do? I've put up w/ this for 5 summers now & if I can't resolve the problem, then I'm going to have to get a new vehicle before summer comes around again….which I can’t afford to do.

Is your vehicle's color a dark maroon, black, or navy blue? Typically, dark colors literally absorb the sun's rays. If so, and if you live in the deep south, you probably need rear air and a light color vehicle. Good luck.

Yes, it is navy blue & I was told that once....by a car salesman who was trying to sale me a new car, LOL. I hate to buy a new vehicle, but think I may have to. I may have it looked over once more just to be sure though.
Thank You!
