I have a 2009 Sportwagen and I love it. However it has cost a great deal of money for silly problems. The latest is the second radio antenna to fail. The dealer charges $500 to replace these. Have other people had this problem? Thanks.

I do not have any direct experience with the 2009... but the MKIV VWs had a known problem with the antenna. Basiccly, water would tend to seep under the antenna and get on the circuit-board underneath it. The "fix" is simple enough... use some kind of sealant when installing the antenna to prevent water intrusion.
