No Dash Gauges

I have a 2000 Olds Alero, 3.4L v6, Just swapped the motor and now the dash gauges do not work.Replaced the BCM, 2 different gauge clusters, speed sensor.
The check engine light is on, but I cannot scan codes to a ODBII scanner because it doesnt seem like a data line is hooked up. Did something get missed when they hooked up the new engine? I bought the car private party for cheap thinking I could fix the problem but I've run out of ideas.
No idea what the problem is so I'm coming to you guys.
