On older models, it is easily fixed by replacing the plastic gear that fits into the transmission when the speedometer is incorrect. That is not the case with later models.

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT with V8, 4X4, and 17 inch rims. My speedometer is 5MPH fast at 65, and need to know the process and where to make adjustments to make the speedometer correct.

Thank you ahead of time.
