Has anyone had experience with, or can describe the differences and end result using these and other struts? I have upgraded our 2003 Avalon with KYB/GR2's with great results as described in the 04 and earlier Toyota Avalon forum. I'm not interested in track performance, just best for enthustast street use without getting beat to death on rougher midwest roads.

KYB, Tokico, Bilstein HDs and Koni FSDs. Others?

I have personal experience with the HDs on everything from a 1973 Bavaria and a 1975 2002 to my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. I have heard good things about the FSDs from several BMW CCA members as well as some friends in the Mazdaspeed 3 community(I'm planning on putting a set on my 2007 MS3). Another friend put Monroe(!) struts/shocks on his E39 5 Series and loved them(they are made in Belgium, IIRC).
