OK - that makes sense.
Had me going for a bit. Canadians get more MT models as is, not fair if they also get better gear ratios.

trainingwheels: Please contact Honda's Customer Care center about your experience with the 2013 Accord. I don't know if you have seen any of my previous posts, but I have been trying since November 2012 to get the Honda Corp. to acknowledge, whether they have a solution or not, that issues with this generation Accord need to be addressed. Especially the car hesitation or stuttering, which is an ongoing embarrassment for those forced to deal with it.

There is a software update available at the dealer. Didnt you get a letter from Honda yet?

I bought my Accord EXL v6 about a month ago and just hit 1,000 miles. I have not experienced your hesitation/stutter issues, nor any transmission issues, but I have experienced the radio distortion issue. It has happened to me about 6 or 7 times and the only way to cure it is to turn the car off and then on again. That "resets" the audio system and the distortion is gone. There is a new software update for the HondaLink. I just received a letter from Honda asking me to make an appointment with the dealer and get the update. I will do that next week. I hope this solves the occasional radio distortion issue. I also have had an occasional situation where the Sirius XM does not show the station names on the small screen. Again, turning the engine off and on again solves this. I am also hoping the new software update will solve this issue.

The software update is supposed to solve those issues.

In response to: "There is a software update available at the dealer. Didnt you get a letter from Honda yet?" Which issue are you referring to? The update is to fix what?

Which issue are you referring to? The update is to fix which of the issues that I posted?

The letter didnt specify fix for any problem in particular. But, the slow (buggy) navi menu is faster after the update. Also, music streaming from my cell phone via blutooth was intermitent and looks like the update fixed that as well. I experienced bad/noisy audio only once and cannot comment on that. Apart from the mentioned annoyances, my touring has been trouble free.
Hope this helps.
