Hello everyone. First time on hear and it seems like a geeat forum. I have two issues. The first is we have a beeping sound coming from the dash while driving. Sometimes it happens while sitting still and other times while driving. Not positive, but seems Ibread somewhere that it has to do with a break issue???? I also have something going on with the ignition. At times, we will have to turn the key multiple times for the ignition to even engage. Almost like the battery is dead but nothing happens. Then it will beep a long beep and then it will start. Sometimes it takes a minute or two for the ignition to engage. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm looking for the cause of random beeping myself, but I might be able to help with the ignition problem. As you probably know, the Sedona security system prevents the engine from starting if it doesn't recognize the key. That's great unless the key it doesn't recognize...or randomly doesn't recognize...is the key that's supposed to start the car. You probably have a faulty ipm module that needs to be replaced. This also requires Kia to reprogram your key. I experienced the same problem 4 days after I purchased a 2011 Sedona. This appears to be a common problem. Found the solution online and told the mechanic at the dealership what to look for.
Now I need to find out why it randomly beeps at highway speeds.
