Think that's a pretty good deal and about what I was seeing.

I shopped around and finally pushed hard, and got to: $29,300 final price, .00024 money factor, same residual value, $289 a month and $2000 down. 12k miles, 36 month lease.

Aggressive offers all around from Acura. Mine was at Hopkins Acura in Bay Area.

These are really very nice cars...especially the dash layout. When I sat in it, it made me forget it was really a Civic. I just think it's a bit over priced for what one gets and the fact that it requires premium makes it an illogical choice. Still a nice car though but for the same price, the Verano seems to be the better choice. Just wonder if the Verano will be cheaper to lease and/or buy at this point?

#83 of 161 Acura listing question 2013 ILX Base by jennys1

Jan 07, 2013 (10:25 am)

Went to a dealer yesterday but didnt negotiate the selling price for a lease for a base 2013 Acura ILX. Basically the list price of the base ilx was $26795 + $795.00 dealer fee + $5.00 Florida Waste tire fee $5.00 + $1.50 Fl waste lease acid battery fee + $71.95 title and fees + 7% tax of $1446.65. Im trading in my car and they are giving me $7k and Im using $3500.00 from there to put down as a payment. They gave me $220.91 for 36 months with 15k miles. I would like my car to be about $200.00 a month but I feel that I should not have to put $3500.00 down plus they are going off the base price of the car and I should be able to do better. When negoitating, can I get down to the invoice of the car? I saw online the invoice was $24,452.00. What do you think is a fair amount of money to put down to keep my payments about $200.00? BTW is the residual factor still the same at 16,612.00? Dealer mention it is now 61% not 62%. Thanks

Jennys1. I went to Rick Case Acura (Plantation/Davie). You should not be putting $3500 down to get to a payment of $220 on a base ILX. Remember you can negotiate everything. At first I was looking at base model and was almost ready to pay about $260 with $0 down, then after further research ended up with the ILX premium model, $0 down and under $250. Granted, I went with $10,000 miles but Acura leases forgive 50% of any excess miles over 10K up to 15k so even if I end up putting 15K, technically they would only charge me for 12,500 and I don't drive that much. Just tell them you want a $0 down deal, only taxes and fees then see what is the best and absolute bottom monthly pay amt. they come up with, negotiate that until you are down to what you want. THEN throw in the down pay question asking them how much more would it save if you put (1k, 2k) down. Good luck
