Two days ago, our van died while I was driving it. No warning. It would crank but not start. I have checked the plugs from the coil pack and #5 has no spark. The fuel pump does engage just fine. The engine light and oil light came on, but no codes were returned. I have disco'd and cleaned the battery and cables. I don't want to get bilked by a mechanic ''guessing'' and half of the things if I can do some myself.
 
The past week this is what I recall- There was minor and almost unnoticed hesitation, intermittently, which led me to decide to do the plugs and wires soon just as upkeep. Hadn't gotten to it yet and it's dead now. Also four days ago, as I was driving, the wipers came on out of nowhere. They would not turn off so I had to pull the relay to keep them off.
 
Not sure if all of this is connected, but any help would be grand! Thank you in advance.
