"Intelligent key"

I have a 2010 Altima Coupe. I did a not-so-intelligent thing with my intelligent key. This am I drove off with the key on my roof (the car started normally) and drove over the key fob. I didn't notice it until I got to work. My wife found it along the side of the road. Duh.My question is....when she brings up the mechanical key....will I be able to start the car with it alone? Where is the "ignition" to insert the key?

The key is just used to open the door. The key fob is inserted into a slot on the dash under and to the left of the steering wheel to start the car. Never had to use it though.... Mike
