HELP!! I've been without audio in my van for 3 months!! To make a long story short--kids stuck coins into CD slot, I hit a bump, coins bounced around the inside of the unit and something shorted out. Will no longer power up anything (CD/DVD/radio/cassette). Honda dealer says unit is un-fixable. My husband bought me a used Honda unit w/code from reliable source. We plugged in the harness and power cable but this one won't power up either. No lights, no nothing. Is there something special we need to do with this or did some of the wiring behind the unit itself get damaged?? We've tried just about everything and we're at a complete loss. This thing has 150k+ miles on it, so I'm not liking the idea of spending a bunch of time and $$$ at my Honda dealer for them to "research".
