#1 of 2 Uplander reduced engine power

Our 2006 Chevy Uplander LS 3.5L engine with 105,000 km is getting the "reduced engine power" message. It was occurring maybe once every two weeks but since the weather has turned colder it is happening everyday - this morning three times while my wife drove home from work.
I had my mechanic scan for codes and it came up with P1516 - throttle body code.
Anyone else have the same issue on their uplander?

I had this same issue with my van about 2 months ago. They had to replace the throttle body sensor (which is like a $20 part) however the sensor is inside the throttle body and they had to replace that as well. Totaling about $1000 in repairs and 3 days in the shop. Good luck
