Does anyone know if 2011 Legacy comes new from the factory with synthetic oil? Owners manual recommends synthetic but wondered if synthetic was installed at the factory.

I was told my 2012 OB 3.6 had synthetic already installed, and that it was "recommended" that I continue to use it. Not sure if that's 100% true, but only what salesman told me...would love to here from others...

FYI - my 2010 Legacy 2.5 did NOT ship with synthetic oil but I switched to full synthetic. I have 47,000 miles on it and plan to go the long haul!

Which engine is in the car? The EJ25 does not come from the factory with synthetic.
