#4 of 24 All Wheel Drive

A good idea for something to test for edmunds.com would be the all wheel drive capabilities between different car makers. It would be interesting to see the different all wheel types put up against each other. ie, bmw's xi drive, audi's quattro, subaru's symmetrical all wheel drive, or toyota's 4wd

Thanks, dukats! I've shared your idea with our vehicle testing team, and I'll let you know what I hear back.

I noticed the 3 options, however many makes and models have serious issues that cover more than the allowed checks.
For example;
The Fire Recall on GM products;
1997-2003 Buick Regal;
2000-’03 Chevrolet Impala;
1998-’99 Chevrolet Lumina;
1998-2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo;
1998-’99 Oldsmobile Intrigue
1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix.
GM RECALL NO. 90047.
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 09V116000
NHTSA Action Number: EA07008

This is a true "Recall" and not a TSB for sticking door locks or something like that..
My post #408 is the complete deal

This one covers GM vehicles from 1996-2003 with the 3800 Gen II engine and the plastic intake manifold..
I paid $400~ for my manifold + labor, then saw the EASY fix, for almost free.
Many TSB's on this, many posts everywhere complaining about them..
I'm too wordy, so I'll say again, is there a way to cover multiple years, makes, models with the same issue ?
I posted this in the Bonneville Forum, planning to go to every 3800 Gen II powered forum and paste it there, but MAN,, honestly, I'm lost even trying to do that.

Edmunds used to have a research section where you could research used car specs. I can not find that feature now. I can find research for new cars but am interested in finding out specs for a 2008 model year car. Is it still available and where?

If you click on the Used Cars tab above and then drill down to your make and model, you'll see a View All Features & Specs link.
Here's the specs for an '08 Nissan Quest for example.

#12 of 24 Lemon law thread

With cars getting so complex, I think a lot of people are becoming frustrated with either the lack of knowledge automakers have about their own dealers, service depts, even their own cars. Seems I'm hearing more an more people trying to find info on Lemon Laws. I think a thread that would help people navigate those complex waters would be very helpful. In addition, it would give them a place to vent their frustration.
