BRING BACK THE INSIDE LINE USER INTERFACE.
If not for the entire edmunds.com site, at least for "What's Hot", which is supposedly the new home for insideline.com. The picture galleries, frankly, suck. We're twelve full years into the 21st century... ever hear of something called fullscreen mode?
But really, there's no rocket science required here. You already have the site layouts, templates, content management system, etc. for insideline.com... why not just adapt this little corner of edmunds.com to look like the good ol' Inside Line we knew and loved? Because seriously, you're losing viewer eyeballs with this antediluvian site design.

Are you and your superiors aware of the negative user feedback that has taken place with the transition of Inside Line to the "What's Hot" section of Edmunds? It seems like it is universally loathed and I haven't really seen any response from those "in the know".

Yes, we hear you! We've read dozens of emails and hundreds of comments about the move to What's Hot, and the team is planning revisions to address your concerns. I will talk to some of the Editors today to see if I can get them to divulge some of their plans. Stay tuned...

I loved Inside Line, and don't want to just watch it wither and die

The Forums link used to be on the bar on the Edmunds home page. Now it's inside a flyout link labelled "What's Hot."
I was on the homepage to look at new car pricing and noticed that it was missing. I had trouble finding it because the term "What's Hot" doesn't tell me that there are other links to other parts of the overall family here. I actually thought there was no link to the forums.
It is my belief that people browsing other parts might notice the term "Forums" if it showed on the actual homepage and might go into the forums to see what information is there about cars IF the term were visible. People browsing forums for various types of info and experiences would then also use the other parts of the site for car pricing and reviews more.
