I'd like to post a picture from file. I see the "img" tool at the bottom. Is it possible to post a picture from my computer? If not, how would I go about uploading it and copying a link? Thank you.

You would need an account at a photo hosting site. I use Photobucket - it's free and works well.

Your photo needs to have its own URL - you can't simply link to it on your computer. So you'll have to upload your photo to a hosting site as ab348 says (I usually use tinypic.com but there are lots of hosting sites to choose from out there).
Once you upload your photo and get a url/link for it, that link is what you paste after clicking IMG button.
Check out the FAQ too.

I can't seem to see any 'posts' (replies) to long term tests either, when I follow the main Edmunds' link to read them. Each editor's post has a "See full article and comment" link, but following it just shows the article, no comments, and no way to add any that I can see. If this is the improvement Edmunds' thinks is being made by merging InsideLine back into the main site, it's going to be removed from my Favorites soon. Half of the interesting stuff on IL was reader comments to the various articles.

I can't see any comments anywhere either.
After Edmunds killed Insideline, my time spent on Edmunds is less than 10% of what it used to be, if that's what they want to hear.

The "we're moving" post says that "there will be a commenting feature on LT updates. It hasn't been implemented yet but should be coming soon." That comment was posted yesterday.

So, no more responding to news items? I have to say, even if posting comments is eventually re-enabled for LT posts, I don't really find what I see from the Edmunds' site nearly as attractive or useful as what was on InsideLine.
This is a definite downgrade, so I hope Edmunds is saving lots of money, because I'm sure the number of page hits are going to drop significantly. I only really visit(ed) Edmunds when I was looking to buy or sell a car. InsideLine was my main resource for what is (was) happening in the automotive universe, and a place to see what other similar-minded (or not) people thought about it. The current content on Edmunds, even with 'links' to some former IL stuff, seems mostly centered around that 'researching' a new / used / selling my car mentality, rather than the car enthusiast feel that IL had.

Not sure where you are looking but comments for What's Hot > Car News is working for me. Look for the blue Comments box.

The implementation, like the rest of the section that is supposed to replace InsideLine, is just horrible though.
