From the FAQ:
Create a New Discussion
When possible, post your questions and comments in an existing discussion rather than creating a new one. Posting in an existing discussion rather than a new one increases the likelihood that members will respond.
If you cannot find an existing discussion that is relevant, you can create a new discussion within a related Forum – e.g. a new discussion about the Audi A3 would belong in the Audi A3 Forum. Once you locate the appropriate Forum, click the "Add a Discussion" link above the first discussion listed.
Please note that there are some Forums where members may not create new discussions, including Smart Shopper, Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences and Maintenance & Repair. If you cannot find an appropriate discussion for your questions or comments in these Forums, contact the Host for assistance.
If you still get stuck, shoot a host an email and we'll walk you through it.

Ok, I figured it out. I was clicking discussions at the bottom of the '13 Fusion page. This takes one to some "abbrieviated" discussion list page that lets users see some discussions and reply, but I didn't see a create new discussion topic anywhere. I had to navigate to the ford fusion forum on my own to see the real raw forum discussion list and there I could create a new discussion. I don't understand why the "2013 Ford Fusion Consumer Discussions" link at the bottom of that page can't launch directly to the real forum.

Seems to be a lot of pain points here for you. Did you still have that jumping around problem?
Thanks for sticking with us.
#45 of 88 Yes, the jumping around problem still happens

Yes. The jumping issue happens on every pc I've used anywhere. You may think the delay is small but it's enough and very annoying. I like the car smiley, just noticed that.

having to log-in almost every time I open this site despite the fact that my name shows in the welcome box
top of the page. This has been going on for over a month and is causing me to spend much less time here and I doubt I am alone.
I don't know why this is taking so long to fix but here's a clue. You are an advertiser-supported medium and you are judged by the number of visits you get, ergo THIS IS COSTING YOU MONEY!

I agree too. I've been having quite a few problems with Edmunds lately, especially being asked to log in when I'm logged in already.
This happens when I'm in the ANSWERS section, already logged in, and when I click to answer a question I'm rerouted to the log in screen, asked to log in (even though I'm still shown as being logged in), and when I try to log in it says authentication invalid. So it sucks as I can't answer questions.
Also lately, especially during the day when I go to the forums and try to reply to some posts or read new posts I get a browser error screen (in firefox and ie) saying server could not connect so I have to leave the site as I can't see past pretty much the first posts I click on.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon too as it's annoying and makes the site unusable.

Exactly what I'm experiencing.
#50 of 88 Edmunds $500 Visa Offer

I came across a link to a $500 Visa gift card for the purchase of a new Nissan Altima, offered by Edmunds. Unfortunately, it's one of those links that only appears intermittently and there's no way to search for it. I checked out the incentives page but it's not there. It's very frustrating to see something like this once and then not be able to find it easily. If you have a link for it, please send it.
Thanks . . .
