I'm new to this fora today. When I add a thread to my watched lists, it says it is added and the thread shows up as though it is being watched (i.e. the Remove watch button appears). However, if I go to My watched items, it is empty. And I do not get any emails when new messages appear in the watched thread.
 
How can this be resolved?

Sorry you're having difficulty. Are you watching an entire forum or a single discussion? If you are watching an entire Forum, such as Automotive News, you will see that folder in your Watched Items. If it is a single discussion you are watching, it will only appear on the Watched list IF there are new posts not viewed by you.
 
As for the email alerts, I'm not sure about that. Are you saying you are discovering new posts in discussions that you have enabled for email alerts? Please let me know which discussion(s) and I will take a look.

For the past week or so, the long-term test blog is not formatting correctly on my Mac. I don't have the same problem on Windows-based machines. The same issue presents itself regardless of whether I use Firefox or Safari. It still shows, but it is in very simple formatting.

How do you send a private message? I don't see the area to do so. I've tried clicking on the person's username but only his profile shows up.

Unfortunately, we do not have a private message system in the Forums. If the member has chosen to keep their email info private, you can try posting a reply directly to them in a discussion and ask that they contact you. You will need to make your email information public, so they can view it in your profile. To do this, click on "Account" at the top of the page.
