Jiffy Lube is telling me that I need to replace many fluids in my 2004 Subaru Forester with 38K miles in it about every 4 oil changes. This includes Radiator Service, Auto Trans Service, Rear Differential Service, Front Differential Service and Transfer Case Service all for about $250. Apparently Subarus are unique in the these services (liquids) need to be changed more frequently than in other cars and will keep it running for a long time, especially since the car has low miles on it. How often do I need to have these services done?

How often it needs to be changed is not an easy question to answer, necessarily. By default, the manufacturer-recommended interval. If your car has never had these replaced and is an '04, now is not a bad time to do it (even with low miles).

I don't think I would base it on oil changes or you will certainly end up over-paying.

I would have said 60k miles, but you're right, a 2004 model is pushing 8 years of age, it's time.
