Hey guys i have a weird problem with my 02 pontiac grand am gt... A couple weeks ago when i went to start it, i turned the key over and nothing happen, like the battery was dead, then it slowly and faintly started to start. I pumped the gas and kept turning the key over until it started and sounded fine and all. Also my clock reset and my service engine light went off. Anybody with knowledge or advice please help me.

Have the battery and charging system checked. Also, it does no good to "pump" the accelerator when starting a fuel injected car.
