In changing the fuel filter on a 2001 Pontiac Montana, the rusted mounting stud broke. The stud bolt looks like it was welded to the frame rail.now what?
The bolt to mount the new one sorta needs to be in that spot.
grind off the old bolt? -- access is tight.
leave the broken stud there and attempt to drill another hole in the new mounting bracket and into the frame rail ??
Surely, I am not the 1st impatient soul who didn't wait long enough for penetrant to loosen the rusted mounting nut.
