I have Dodge Durango 2011 with a 5.7l V8
I want to know if it is capable of moderate desert sand driving, and driving through empty river beds?
Thanks ;D

as long as the road surface you are driving on is flat or the approach angle will not damage the bumper's front lip due to its low overhang. Now if you intend to go for some serious off roading say like Moab, Utah the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the one to have.

It should have pretty decent capability. I'm not sure of the ground clearance on a 2011, so watch it as someone else has posted. If you get into soft sand remember to let tire pressure down to get better traction........
