my 2007 5.3 V8 flexfuel Tahoe LTZ has a problem, a valve lifter failed, we have had it replaced but after initially running well it has begun to misfire again, mechanic thinks it is to do with malfunction in the solenoids involved with engine management. Prior to this episode the truck's electrics were acting strangely, several switches were intermittantly faulty and the battery would discharge itself regularly, nothing wrong with battery or alternator. AND we are in England with no workshop manual, anyone got any ideas , it seems to me that something electrical is at the root of all of this. Which workshop manual would people recommend?

i have same vechicle and same issues...replaced engine at 41K...it just gets worse. No one can figure out what is wrong. GM certainly won't stand behind it...claim they have never heard of this happening. Funny...its all over the internet.
