I just bought a 2008 4Runner SR5. In the backseat, on the rear of the front console, is a plastic ring that flips up and stands at a 90degree angle to the console. Does anyone know what this ring is for? It looks like it could be a trashcan if you attach a bag to it but we have no idea and its not in the owner's manual and we didn't see it until we got the car home. Thanks for the help!

Yep, it's a trash bag holder. Check page 326 of your owner's manual for details.
