I'm thinking about getting an old Mercedes coupe, but would like to know more about the benefits/disadvantages of particular models. These are the ones I'm most interested in:300 CD (turbo diesel) from the early '80s (through '85)
450 SLC mid to late 70s
280 C mid 70s
250 C early 70s
Which of these are best (or worst) in terms of reliability, fun, fuel economy, ride quality, handling, speed, parts availability, or whatever other qualities you think are important to differentiate between these vehicles?
