#1 of 1 2000 Dodge Caravan noise during shift change by saving_van

I have a 2000 dodge caravan that makes a scraping noise while braking during gear change (drive and more noise in reverse) although during regular driving no noise is heard. I would describe the noise as a "circular" scraping noise. As soon as you let off the brake, the noise stops. The transmission was changed a few years ago and no transmission problems. The brakes are good also. The noise is coming from somewhere around the torque converter area but I cannot be sure where it is exactly coming from. Recently the oil pump was changed which may be a coincidence or related to the new noise. I did read in a few forums that it could be related to the motor mounts?? Please any advice would be helpful?
