Alright lets see if I can explain this. My 99 grand voyager(3.3L FF) is showing some intermittent overheating. While driving without A/C on doing 30mph or more I havent seen an issue. Now when I kick on A/C or even drive slow(under 30mph) the van will spike in temp and gauge will hit hot in matter on 30 secs. Now when it does hit the hot mark and we increase speed and/or shut A/C off completely needle will comeback down to normal temp. I did check for leaks and see if there was antifreeze in the rad and both checks result in no abnormalities. Has anyone run into a scenario like this and can advise further?

Sounds like the radiator fan isn't cutting in. Check the fuses first.
