Why would remote keys, both of them, stop functioning? No lock, no unlock, no liftgate operation, nothing.Keys of course unlock and car manually, with full electrical function of door lock synchronization.

Are you sure the batteries in the remotes are still good? Also, check all of the fuses, maybe the receiver blew a fuse and can't respond to the remote. Or it died (expensive!).
