#1 of 1 Door locks and trans problems by drivehard454

I have a 2004 Venture. There are twoproblems we are experiencing, and cannot figure out.

1) Door locks triggering automatically: The door lock trigger themselves to unlock repeatedly. I have narrowed it down to speed related. Anytime the van hits about 32 and 36 miles an hour, the doors unlock continuosly every half second until you increase/decrease speed. I ended up removing the lock fuse to save on the lock solinoids, but can still hear the relay clicking behind the glovebox. Very annoying. This problem comes and goes. May last a few days, then disappear for a few days. Nobody I talk to knows anything on the van that would have a trigger point of 32 and 36 miles an hour that the wiring for the locks may be shorting against. I do not have the money to send this van to a shop and have them diagnose it. I am very handy with fixing and repairing just about anything and can fix this myself if I can find where I need to start out at.

2) I changed trans fluid and filter last year. Ever since then, and it happend same day, the trans will slam once in a while when you come to a rolling stop and then accelerate agian before stopping. Like it slips out of gear and then lets the engine rev a bit and slips back into gear. This only happened randomely. Now, lately, when you stop completely, its like it only is eganged partially in gear when you accelerate, then after going a bit, slips fully into gear. This happens very randomely, and you cannot duplicate the problem if you try. It just does it when it feels like it. There has also been a couple times, 2 that I can think of, that We have had the trans power shift every gear. once it started, it kept doing it until we got where we were going. Then after shutting it off and leaving later it was just fine. Anytime otherwise you don't notice anything wrong, and it drives/shifts just fine.

Any body with any ideas?

Thanks, Jason
