Does anyone have information on when the CX-9 is slated for re-design? I'm considering buying one, but would wait if there is a new design on the way.

No idea yet. We typically won't know until the summer at the earliest. Inventory is not expected to arrive until November, if Mazda contiunes to ship according to their past history. All new CX-9's usually arrive in late October or November.

We just bought a 2011 CX-9 and the people at the dealership said it is not slated for a full re-design for another 3 years.

And it's a SAFE bet that the dealer would NEVER lie in order to close a deal.

Well, there are no changes for the 2012's. No one can ever speak as to 3 years down the road and customers are stupid for thinking that especially if they are savy enough to come onto a site like Edmunds.
