I am interested in ordering a Flex Limited with particular features, as opposed to what is on the lots. How long to orders take from placement to delivery? Also, are there incentives or rebates I would lose if I do not buy from dealer stock?

We ordered a 2011 Flex Limited ecoboost with all the goodies for an MRSP of around $51k in Mid October and it arrived Dec 22nd. They say 6 to 8 weeks and it took all of that. It was worth it though, we had the same problem of not finding any within 1000 miles that had what we wanted. Bordeaux Red with Black Leather, DVD headrests, ecoboost, 40/40 back seats, power fold 3rd row, etc... As for incentives, you will get whatever incentives that are available at the time the vehicle comes in. You can not lock in incentives when you order. But, we were told that incentives ussually tend to get better over time, not worse. It worked out for us because in Oct when we ordered it was either cash back OR 0% for 36 months. When we got it in December during the year end event, it was cash back AND 0% for 36 months. FYI we live in and bought it in New Hampshire.

One last thing, all dealerships (3 of them) offered us the same price regardless or order or buy off the lot, price was about $500 below Dealer invoice before incentives at all 3 places once negotiated. But, one dealership was going to really short change us on the trade in if we ordered. that particular dealer offered KBB for trade if we bought off the lot or $2500 below KBB if we ordered. Both other dealers offered $500 below KBB for the trade which was the going market rate for our vehicle. I searched the local auctions and they were being truthful that KBB over valued our trade (a toyota Rav4) by $500. So we decided to go ahead and accept $500 less than KBB as long as they came in under dealaer invoice on the new car which they did.
PS we love the flex and the ecoboost hauls. Also, it is great in the massive amount of snow we have gotten the last few weeks up here. Just as good in the snow as our other car a 2007 MDX.
