I have a 1995 Escort wagon. Recently the timing belt broke on it while I was driving it to work. Recently replaced the timing belt & now the car won't start. It'll try to turn over, but it won't start. It's been sitting in my driveway for over two weeks now & I'm trying to figure out if it's worth my time to fix it or not. I checked the oil & there's no white-milky stuff in it. Any guidance would be appreciated. I'm worried the head's busted.
The car has new spark plugs, new thermostat, & a new battery as well.

Does it have a single overhead cam? Most likely, especially if you don't hear any untoward sounds, it is not adjusted properly (crank/cam alignment is off by a couple teeth, etc.). I know it is a lot of work, but I would suggest reaccessing the timing belt and setting the alignment again. Also, check the crank and camshaft sensors to make sure they did not sustain any damage from the broken belt.
