My 05 town and country was working great never had an issue with the transmission. I parked my car while my wife got it than put it back into drive after she got in. as i drove away the check engine light came on and i noticed it wasnt shifting when i reached a normal speed it would shift at. It appears to be stuck in 2nd gear for no reason. There was no warning signs any ideas.

I have a 2002 and the same occured to my vehicle...took it to tranny shop and here are my results...its a Transmission Control Module. After troubleshooting with the computer they discover the computer is intermitent. Basically the transmisson computer is off and on. This will cause the transmission to sometimes work normal and sometimes to be stuck like in first or second gear without shifting..At the dealership the part runs like $600 (it needs to be programmed). Hope it helps
