98 Grand Caravan

Got up this morning at 6 and went out to start the car. Ran normally last night. Turned the key and it started, put it in gear and it stalled. Thought that was odd, never happened before... So started it again, put it in gear and stalled again. Hmmm. Started it a 3rd time and didn't put it in gear, it stalled again. Of course I have tried a few more times.

After it starts the tach isn't displaying anything.
The gas gauge isn't responding either.
The odometer display is blank
No unusual trouble lights
None of the trip computer displays have any data except the compass. They are totally blank except for the decimal point and description of what they should be displaying.

I have checked the obvious fuses.

Cant imagine what could have happened overnight sitting in my driveway.

During the late 1990s the U.S. government mandated the auto industry move to a soldering compound that uses very low or even zero amounts of lead. The problem is that as these vehicles age, some of the solder points are now proving to be not as robust as they otherwise would have been. In the Chrysler minivans this issue manifests itself in bizzare instrument cluster and operational issues, issues that often sound exactly like what you're experiencing.

Many folks have reported that a few quick bangs on the dashboard will at least temporarily restore normal vehicle operation, however, the only permenant fix is to either replace the instrument cluster (a last resort) or to pull the instrument cluster and briefly "touch" each solder point with a hot soldering iron; a process that re-liquifies the solder and then allows it to form a much better bond between the items that are soldered together.

Keep us posted.

Mine is doing the same thing almost except that it cranks just fine, but it sputters like it's out of gas, when placing my foot on the gas paddle it doesn't excelerate, it sputter in low degree, when putting it in gear to back out, it stall. I can sit there and it's run for a few and then stalls out. While sitting and it's running, I've tried to mash on the paddle it sputters then stalls.

I used it this morning and it cranked and took me to school, finish school business then it wouldn't move, ran but barely, stall, then had hard time of cranking.

When cranking it seems like it's not getting any gas. Could this have anything to do with the fuel injection or fuses?

Before you ask, I have a brand new battery old as 2 months and everything else in order or redone.

HELP!!!
