Currently dealing w same issue in regards to 2011 Jetta pulling to right. After four services regarding same issue, well now vehicle pulls to both the right and left. Feel its a defective unsafe vehicle, hence a possible Lemon. Ugh.

Just wanted to thank you for your instructions on how to get the aux to work on the Jetta. I, too, could not get anywhere by reading the manual, no matter how hard I tried. Very frustrating!!! I googled a couple of times, and then found your letter. I tried it, and it works. Thank you so very much.

Update:
White Gold, Tan interior

I have had my Jetta about a year now. 15,500 miles already. I am really enjoying it! I can honestly say that for the money, I chose the right car. The love the engine, I came from an 08 G6 4cyl and this engine is night and day better!! Though similar specs. It is refined, smooth and quick. The car drives well and is composed. The car feels solid. The car has plenty of space. The rear is good for a car seat and family to ride in and not feel cramped. The truck is big too! Love the stereo system! It is clean, and offers many options. I like to stream through blue tooth using my iphone.
The materials used could be better, such as the door handles. But, it still looks good! I guess that is the point right? The dash is fine, you don't touch that. But, the tan interior looks better in my opinion than the black. I still get people asking about my car. They love the color combo.

When I detail the car, it is so easy to clean. The tan seats are easy to wipe clean. Literally looks the same as when I bought it. I never use cleaner or shine on the interior finishes. I have yet to actually wax the car myself, but the dealer did earlier this year and I have a membership at a car wash. The paint still looks shiny and waterproof.

Issues:
Horns had to be replaced
Stereo screen has went white a couple times in the summer. Hasn't happened in a long time again.

I can honestly say that I can't think of another car I want right now. Other than the GLI, but in this price line, it is a great value. I feel like I drive a higher priced car!!

I am glad to be in a VW.

Hello I just bought a 2011 jetta SE (auto) with 6500 miles.

I noticed that when I am backing out of parking spaces or turning and I have the need to turn the "wheels" all the way I get a squealing sound from underneath the car.

I have stopped mid squeal to see if for some reason, the tires were hitting or rubbing on the front bumper. There appeared to be no contact. But after getting back into my car and continuing the maneuver, the squeal stops.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

One is never EVER supposed to hold the steering-wheel against the "stop" for any reason. This puts excessive load on the power-steering components. This fact is mentioned in the owners-manual of every vehicle I have ever owned. (Asian, German, domestic.... all of them)

I believe your 2011 VW has ELECTRIC power-steering. It may be a belt slipping you are hearing.

Thank you for your reply.

I have not owned a VW in 10 years and my other current vehicles are Audis. I have never experienced this in my life.

Unfortunately, since it was a used car, it did not come with an owner's manual. I plan on purchasing one soon.

I was not sure if that problem was a defect in the redesigned Jetta. Thank you for your wisdom and kindness.

You said ==> "i believe only the tdi models have electric power assist."

The bottom line is still the same - holding steering-wheel against 'stop' is not desirable in ANY vehicle. A noise or slipping belt might be the least of one's worries if this becomes a habit.
