Can I offer this suggestion: Neither
 
Odyssey:I have trouble paying almost $ 10,000 for a minivan that's 8 years old with over 100,000 miles. They're nice and they run well but it seems like a lot of $ to me.
 
Uplander: 2005 was the 1st year for the Uplander and it had some teething issues. You also have hardly any warranty left. Powertrain is warranted for 5 years or 100,000 miles and its a 2005, can't be more than a couple of months left on the warranty. You'll also find that the 3.5 L V6 under the hood is fairly anemic when it comes to moving this van down the road, especially when compared to the Honda.
 
Which isn't to say that either is a bad vehicle. There are lots of happy owners of both, I just think that your price points are not favorable. You're likely to find another Uplander which is newer for less miles for the same price, if you like it, that might be an option. Newer Uplanders also have a more powerful engine which is much better suited to the size if this vehicle. I would even offer that you might find a newer Odyssey for $ 10K too. I own an 08 Uplander LS and I'm so far happy with it. Its also got a lot more room in it than the Odyssey and performs as well.
