#1 of 2 1995 Isuzu Rodeo Rear Wheel Knocking

On the drive home this evening I noticed what sounded like a loud machine gun being fired from my driver's rear wheel. I seemed to lose my steering for a split second and my brakes as well. It only lasted for a second but then began happening intermittently the whole way home. I pulled over on the side of the highway and got under the car and looked at it but everything seemed normal. Once I got home I inspected the wheel again along with all the others and the only difference I noticed was that the wheel I heard the sound from was very hot to the touch. I recently got all the tires replaced and discovered that the wheel in question had a 15" rim while the other 3 all had 16" (I just bought the rodeo a couple months ago). Besides the obvious answer of "Just go buy the right sized rim" (which I would do if I could afford obviously); Does anyone have any helpful ideas that could point me in the direction of the problem so I can find the cheapest solution??

You have a brake problem that needs to be corrected IMMEDIATELY!
Drive slowly to the nearest shop and have them inspect the car. Do this TODAY! NOT tomorrow.
