The latest issue of Automobile Magazine says that BMW will begin producing the EfficientDynamics Concept Sports Car in 2014. The prototype gets 62 mpg (Diesel), has two electric motors in addition to the 3 cylinder Diesel and therefore is AWD, and does 0-62 mph in 4.8 seconds. The rear seats fold down for more luggage space. The exterior and interior are positively gorgeous--function follows form perfectly. What more could anyone want?

I am sure that we are a lot closer to understand what efficient dynamics means 2 year later (from last post). I am quite impressed by the upcoming 2014 i8 coupe'. In so far I have been otherwise utterly un-impressed with the offering on the 5 & 7 series. I'll keep my finger crossed to really see the i8 or equivalent offering in 2014 (my 2008 335xi will badly need to be stabled by then).^.^
