..just like in the title:
 
when i start my 2001 legacy in the morning, the power steering is quiet and smooth. after driving for a while i get a significant whining and some vibration in the wheel. any thoughts?

No idea specifically, but it must be related to the thinner viscosity of the fluid as it warms up.
