#1 of 3 All Season Floor Mats

I need protection for the carpet my 2010 Honda Odyssey.
I found Honda dealers, etc that offer Honda OEM all season mats cheaper than my dealer offers them or the Honda website.
My question: do I have to remove the original carpet? Some Dealers have said no and others say yes-- I really do not want to take the carpet out and have to store it.
Also in much older post several writers expressed a real preference for weathertech liners instead of the Honda All Season- I live in Arkansas so protection from lots of snow is not a problem just spilled drinks, gummy bears, etc.

We bought a 2010 Odyssey in November with all season mats. The dealer installed them before we picked the van up. The original mats were in a bag in the back.
Yes you definitely need to remove the original mats. There are snaps that fix them to the floor so they don't move around. The fit is real nice. I live in the snow belt in NW Pa and we get lots of snow. The melted snow would migrate to the edge and get the carpet underneath wet. So, the thought of spilled drinks on these mats isn't good. There is no lip on the edge to contain whatever is on the mat.
Perhaps the weathertech liners have the much needed lip?

I have the weathertech mats in my 07 Ody, and they do have a serious lip around them to contain spills. I removed some of the original mats - the front ones, I believe, and they fit nicely underneath the cargo liner in the well in the back that holds the rear seats when they are down. In other words, out of sight, out of mind. I got the weathertechs for all three rows - front, middle, and rear. Give them a call and check out their website for specifics on how they fit and how they look. I found them to be very helpful when I was deciding to buy, and I have had them in my car for over two years and have been very happy with them. They specifically contained a serious spill of coffee when the travel mug tipped over and we didn't know it right away. Car smelled like coffee for awhile, but no damage was done.
