#1 of 5 Old Diesel, Manual, Pickup Options

Good evening,
Searched the forums and nothing directly relevant came up, so here she goes:
I've been looking for a small pickup options in Canada in diesel and with manual transmission. Thus far, it seems that my options are severely limited--the best I've been able to find and buy is an 84, 2.2 L Ford Ranger, but she was in too rough shape to make her worth keeping. I've also tried to track down some Jeep J series pickups, but those seem to be even harder to find.
That being said, can anyone recommend, a small, diesel, manual transmission pickup from the last 20 years that I might be able to find in Canada?
Much thanks,
-Feliks

hi Feliks,
To see that your question was posted in April and still has yet to receive any response leaves me wondering. I have roughly the same question; has there been a small diesel pickup (with at least 120hp) that has been sold in the US/Canada in the past 30 years? I look forward to any replies - Thanks!

Going off of memory, the only small diesel pickups that I can recall in the last 30 years have been the ford ranger, Chevy Luv, Toyota diesel pickup and Isuzu PUP.
The most recent ones being the Toyota and Isuzu in USA and the Ranger in Canada.
Someone may be able to add to the list, but I don't think it is very long.

My first bought-new small pickup truck was a 1982 Mazda B2000. I remember there were some with diesels available on the lot for the same price at the time ($5795). That was at Ted Britt Mazda in Virginia.

Yep, forgot about the Mazda.
The rotary engine and diesel were promoted quite a bit.
