#98 of 149 Leather seats but NO sunroof?
by bestmickey

I'm considering a 2011 Kia Sportage. I want leather seats but do NOT want a sunroof. I keep my cars a long time (10 and more years) and fear the sunroof will leak in later years of ownership. Besides, I have a history of skin cancer and just wouldn't use a sunroof. From building a Sportage on the Kia website, if I want leather, I must take the sunroof. Do you know if this is a mandatory combination? If so, it rules out this vehicle for me.

your Sportage will have a cover over the sunroof so it will not be exposing you to the direct sunlight, so don't let that get in your way of buying the Sportage you like, OK?

at least one dealer in our area has offered to add leather to an LX model for around $1500-$1800. We want the NAV with Leather but don't like the "premium" dual a/c and we really don't like the new EX "Daisy" wheels either. So basically you can come out with a leather and NAV equipped LX for around $3k less than the EX with NAV/leather/sunroof. Might be worth asking about. Now if they can just produce enough of these cars to fill the dealers requests. In our area it seems like the dealers are all having to beg the factory to get more than a few at a time..

Before I sign the lease deal for a 2011 Kia Sportage EX AWD with the premium package (no tech)...lease terms: 36 months, 15k miles/yr, zero down...MSRP: $28,650, Cap Cost: $26,400, Monthly 394.00/tx included...is this a good deal??

I think 394 a month is a pretty good deal considering you're putting nothing down. I am also trying to lease the 2011 Kia Sportage EX AWD with the premium leather package. I've been offering to put down $3,000 and the best they've given me so far is $350 a month. I'm about to go to another dealership and see what they say. Really and truly I'm trying to get my payment down to just under $300 a month (if I could get $295 that would be amazing). Does anyone know if getting the 2011 Kia Sportage EX AWD with premium leather package, for $300 a month with $3000 down is possible? I really love the style and all the add ons and really have my heart set on it but don't want to pay more than 300 a month.

Just bought a Black Cherry/Black 2011 Sportage LX FWD with convenience package, Navigation and dealer installed leather for $24,600 + TTL. Not a screaming deal off sticker but the inventory is so low here they aren't dealing much yet. The sticker with add ons for leather, window tint, and a pin stripe was $26,100. We don't like the EX's 18" daisy wheels, push button start or premium climate control so this LX saved us about $3500 more than a similarly equipped EX. We didn't finance it, to bad there is no cash back, as the financing was the only incentive they have on the Sportage now. It's amazing when you pay cash for a car how the top of the line models aren't as appealing as they used to be.
