#467 of 801 Door lock actuator 2008 Tahoe LTZ 47k miles
Apr 07, 2012 (3:48 pm)
I have a fully loaded 2008 Tahoe LT Z and I am now down to one actuator working after having two of them fix while I still have my warranty and wouldn't you know my next one goes out right when I crossed 36,000 miles
I took it to the dealer and he told me that the other two doors are no longer under warranty so you can't fix them for less than $500 per door to top it off my door handle the driver side break so I can barely get into to my own $55000 vehicle. My kids have to let me in or I must leave the window down . I have owned Cadillac Escalade GMC Yukon and two Chevy Tahoe's I was a big fan of the tahoes until this started happening. I am now considering going to the new ford and would never ever said that previously. Where is the recall on the defective parts?

No, THANK YOU! For making me pay the $90 diagnostic fee when we all knew what the problem was. And THANK YOU!! for making me pay another $600 when I could have replaced them myself for $300. THANK YOU!!! for standing behind your customers and not recalling defective parts when this is an OBVIOUS defect that is affecting thousands of vehicles. THANK YOU!!!! for slapping me in the face with a " $1,000 certificate towards my next new GM vehicle." (that will probably fail and not be covered) when we both know I sure as hejj am never going to buy another GM product as long as I live. THANK YOU!!!!! for opening my eyes and showing me what General Motors is really about! No really THANKS!
If that offer is the best you can do God help the rest of you poor GM customers because they will drag this out and screw you in the end like they have so many other customers.
PS. I am not going away anytime soon. So put your big girl pants on cause I'm here to stay until I see some change in how you handle this situation.
#472 of 801 Another chevy door lock issue!!!
Apr 15, 2012 (6:11 pm)
I have a 08 Chevy Avalanche LTZ and I am having issues with the doors not locking and unlocking. After spending all this money on a vehicle there has to be a resolution to this situation without me spending even more money. Is there a recall or someone that I can talk to so I can see about this getting fixed?

#474 of 801 Chevy yahoo door lock issue
Apr 20, 2012 (6:34 pm)
Like everyone else in this forum, I'm having issues with the rear driver side lock sticking. My current 08 Tahoe LTZ is out of warranty, but it's a lingering issue that was supposedly fixed when it was under warranty by the dealership. Is there any way to get this issue fixed free of cost as the same problem has presented itself after the lock was replaced under warranty?
I understand that most new car electronics are complex and one out of several thousand relay switches in the vehicle can fail, but I'm just not keen to spend an additional 300-400 dollars on fixing something that looks like its a known issue.
Hopefully this matter can be resolved as I have seen plenty of responses from the GM reps.

#476 of 801 Rear door not locking.
Apr 23, 2012 (11:46 am)
I am having the same problem as a lot of people on this forum. I have a 2005 Tahoe with 69000 mile an the rear door(hatch will not lock) this has been a problem for some time now, and my wife is after me to do something about it.
Has anyone had any luck getting GM to help with the problem after your vehicle is out of warranty?
this seems to be a safety issue that should be looked into. Thanks for any help or advice you might have.
