#1 of 2 High RPM's at cold start by maxwell10

My 2008 van runs about 1800 rpm's when it is started cold. After about 30 seconds it lowers to about 1200 rpm's.

As soon as it warms up it idles at what i think is correct aound 800 rpm's.

Is this high idle rpm too high, if so can i lower the high idle or is that something the dealership should adjust.

Does not seem to hurt anything and van runs great and gets good mileage. Just seams to idle a little fast to me.

any comments are appreciated:

Normal operation, the colder it is outside, the higher the initial cold start idle, up to a set max. As long as warm idle speed goes down to what you stated after couple of minutes or less, it's OK.
