I have a chevy venture 2002....check engine lgihts on and after diagnoze they told me to replace the crank sensor front and rear...but since it was replace every now and then the check engine lights on....any other suggestion on how to repair this problem...

ok check engine light came on valentines day, but ran fine. So 2 days later I took it to autozone to check the code. Came up misfire cylinder 1. Fiance says needs plugs and wires as we have had it for 2 years and never changed them. Started to run bad, hesitation, almost spitting and sputtering at low speeds, get it over 45-55 and it will run fine. Took and got plugs and wires done, check engine light went off, ran better on the way home. Went to the store 10 minutes later and the light was back on and running the same again. Took back to shop and told them what it was doing, suggested new fuel filter which had also never been replaced. Had that done. Sitting at idle never misfired once. But under a load??, as they call it misfired 607 times on cylinder one. New fuel filter made no difference. Took to my brothers mechanic, tried replacing coil pack, and map sensor. Still no help. Also had me try fuel system cleaner, at times I thought that was helping, or it wasn't running as bad as it had been, but it never FIXED, the issue. It has a spark knock until it fires and runs fine at speeds about 40, but after 70 while it runs fine the check engine light flashes. Been running like this for over a month. I really dont want to spend alot of money diagnosing if it only to find out its something major in the motor, because I probably will just get a new vehicle. Sometimes because it runs so good at idle and after 45 mph it makes me think its something simple. Oh they also told me at the shop that it was running rich not lean. Whatever that means. Someone please HELP!

I had the same problem before with regard to check engine lights. What i did was to remove the connection of the battery ( negative) for about 30 minutes and put it back again . Try to start your engine and hope it works for you
