That's what I was trying to say, I guess I put it badly. In normal driving, 6k fewer miles is about 6 months off the warranty, so I was taking that into consideration. But I drive fewer than 12k/year, so personally, my warranties always expire for time, not mileage, so the 6k wouldn't matter much to me, as long as the term of the warranty was the same as a new, undriven car. It's tough to price a demo - I was trying to estimate low, but it might be worth less still... I know dealers try to sell them 'as new', and try not to discount them much, but I have a feeling that they're some sort of a marketing write-off and they make huge profits off them when they sell them for close to invoice. Maybe a former salesman/dealer could chime in (if they're not too loyal to their former career).

Since you bought it, be happy with it. I think 2011's are going for close to invoice from dealers willing to deal, and they're holding close to retail on the 2012's until the 11's are gone. I would think that negotiating for $1k over invoice should be doable by November for the 2012's. You got your DVD player for slightly under invoice, though! I hadn't heard - are they installing a 'factory' DVD player at dealerships in the EX-L's?

Thanks! We live in Nor cal and we tried around 10 dealers and they are very rigid in price both years. When we try to negotiate with other dealers some said that the price u got it good and go ahead with it.

We tried both years but they are giving almost same quote for both years. They said that they have few inventory and more demand.

Two things: When you contact the dealers, be sure to let them know you're ready to buy now, know exactly what you want, they have it on their lot (check their online inventory), and they can have your business for the best price. If you just call around casually, they'll give you high quotes. It's usually best to email the internet guy to get decent quotes. That being said, I'm in Northern California too (Bay Area) and it's notoriously tough to get deals on Hondas here similar to what people say they're getting in other parts of the country. They can be had, but the timing has to be right. I spoke to an ex-BMW dealer recently, and he said that BMW HQ creates (or used to) false shortages to keep prices up. They tell their dealers they can't have more than x-number of a certain model even though they've got thousands sitting on docks around the country. I'm sure it's a tactic all manufacturers have used or tried to use over the years, it would not surprise me if Honda were doing it in certain regions where salaries (of those who have a job ) are higher.

#742 of 747 Windows Go Down by junebug100

I parked my 2011 Odyssey and came back out later and ALL four windows were all the way down. I know I had them up when I went in. This happen to anyone else. I did have a boat trailer hooked up to a harness so maybe some sort of weird electrical short? But please let me know if this has happened to anyone.

I found that if you click your remote key do-dad to lock/unlock the doors more than once, the windows (and sun roof) will lower. This has happened to me with my 2011 Odyssey Touring.

Did that TSB fix your problem with the creaking? I am having the same issue and taking mine back to the shop for the 2nd time! I printed out the TSB to take with me and I am hoping it will fix the problem! I was just wondering if it fixed yours?

My 2012 oddy ex is only 6 months old but I too have this same clicking noise when you slowly go forward or backward while turning left or right. This intermittently started at 3 months.

Did the TSB bulletin fix this issue for you guys? Thanks.

My 2011 had the same issue pretty much since new. I did finally road test when dropping off with the service manager and got him to hear it, and they performed the TSB and it (so far) worked like a charm!

They did "look into it" several times before and found nothing, so for me forcing the guy to listen to it while I was driving was key.
