I am having the same problem. I have rebuilt the tranny, put in a new computer, and still cant find the problem. The tranny works great if you manually shift it, but starts in high gear if in drive. I will try the wire short problem, but I am afraid that is not it. Please let me know if you have any info that may help. You can email me or just post here. mufflers_28yahoo.com is my email. Plus, you're sure to get spammed now that you've posted your email. We try to fool the spambots by making the "at" sign a graphic, but it doesn't help much.
 
You can mark your email public in your Profile and hide it from everyone except registered members. Any member clicking on your name can then get your email. Still not foolproof but it helps a lot. Shoot me one if you'd like your post removed so you can repost without the email.
