"All Wheel Drive Disabled" was displayed a few seconds when the car was turned on. Then everything seems normal (no other warning or message).
Recently, we finally found out the all wheel drive was really disabled -- because it couldn't move forward with only front wheel spinning in snow.
We went to a local dealer. We were told it was broken wire issue and repair cost was $300. After an hour, the serviceman returned and told us the repair cost will be $845 because there was corrision in body connector; unsuccessful attempt to clean terminal & connectors; have to replace the body connector. And some parts had to be specially ordered.
Unhappy with the dealer, DTC code P0442 was shown after the repair. The dealer claimed the problem would be repaired once the body connector was replaced.
We left the dealer with paying $120 diagnose fee.
Does anyone have idea how much the body connector costs? And what is the reasonable total cost?
