The only car I had with a true, (not split) bench seat was my 1968 Buick Special Deluxe. It's weird to think of adjusting the seat and having the whole thing come forward or go back today. Sad thing is, guys on a first date can no longer make a hard right and have their female companion slide toward them!

Charlie Nash obviously had other ideas about what folks should be doing in his cars! Heh-heh!

I'll never forget an old episode of "Happy Days" when Richie bought an old 1950 or so Chevy convertible. He brings it home to show off the family and little Joannie blurts out "Those are Nash seats. Great for necking!"
Mrs. Cunningham was not amused. And neither was Father Dowling.

Nice to see it is for engineers and not for marketing and product development sucks, the people who have done as much to hurt GM as anyone else.

"The redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Corvette — the seventh generation of the sports car — will debut on January 13 on the eve of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, General Motors confirmed on Thursday.
The 2014 Corvette will be significantly overhauled.
GM did not issue any teaser shots of the car, but revealed the Corvette's new Crossed Flags emblem, said to "symbolize the new car."

I'll be anxious to see that debut.
I still remember the articles in Motor Trend during the 1970s, which would always feature a photo of the mid-engine showcar/prototype with the title, "Is this the 197X Corvette?".
For some reason, it sticks in my mind that the magazine ran that same headline with accompanying photo at least three or four times!

Wasn't that 197X Corvette also supposed to have a rotary engine?
