#1 of 3 Uplander horn by uplanderguy

I'm aware of the TSB about the horn being difficult to activate, but the horn on my '05 Uplander, 4 1/2 years old and 72K miles, quit working in the straight-ahead position. If the wheel is turned, it works. Took it to the dealer; there is a part that has a dead spot, dead-center. $300 to fix. I told them I'd live with no horn.

This seems to me to be a safety issue, so I'd like to see it be N/C, but....yeah, right!

Anybody else have this happen?

No I haven't, but if your horn repair isn't covered on warranty, you might want to consider installing a loud set of air horns activated from a push button switch, to prevent having to disassemble the column. Most of the air horns I've tried over the years are noticeably louder than OEM. There's plenty of space in an Uplander to install a set. As for safety compliance, it depends on which state or province one is registered in; your local DMV can answer that.

I have an 06 uplander. You have to press the right spot before my horn works. By the time I figure it out its too late to blow the horn.
